MAINTENANCE
Telebit began working in this sector back in the year 2003, with its first client, Sirti, and right away it was brought to the spotlight for its proactive approach and high quality services, which have always been the company's strengths. Maintenance manages the equipment, the technological systems and individual customer systems, in a structured way thanks to decades of experience. At the same time, Telebit in addition to its plant department, has also structured a maintenance service dedicated to fiber optic and copper networks. Acknowledged by clients as being very careful to the quality of its service, Telebit guarantees national coverage on the above listed services thanks to its 14 locations in continuous expansion.


Thanks to the ten-year fixed line network activities, also the habit of careful and controlled management of access to central stations and pop, as well as the ability to operate without interruption on already active systems are deeply rooted in Telebit. In fact, in addition to the construction of new networks, the company is well established on the reconfiguration and relocation of systems already in operation, both in regards to pop and networks.

Preventive maintenance plans are organized and agreed upon with each Client, choosing the type, frequency and specificity of the intervention based on the initial requests of the Client and Telebit maintenance records.
The development of the activities is carried out as a single intervention with mixed teams highly trained on electric and mechanical systems, including air conditioning, or segmenting the intervention by type of system, wherever more in-depth maintenance is required in the various departments.
This type of service is carried out today with national coverage and managed with an automatic system of georeferencing of the systems and teams.
Telebit has 14 locations across Italy and owns a fleet of 300 vehicles that guarantees extreme efficiency in response time and in scheduling the numerous teams that operate and move in the different areas at different times.

In all these fields are highly specialized technicians with specific training on the individual Clients’ equipment. The service is offered 24/7, thanks to the rotating availability of our staff and thanks to the setup of a single Operating Center that carries out the following:

  • SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT:
    Receives and records all requests for intervention by all Clients, automatically sorting them and conveying them to the correct Technical Team
  • DISPATCHING CENTER:
    The Technical Team of reference decides how to intervene through the integration of a proprietary IT system that automatically geo-locates the faults, and helps the identification of the closest available technician with the skills suitable to resolve the issue. The task is to resolve the issue at the Client’s portal.

All corrective maintenance interventions meet the contractual service level agreements established by the clients; thus Telebit has a structure that is very flexible, widespread and quick to meet high standards of demand.

Early identification of incipient anomalies allow better management of operations and maintenance, avoiding important repercussions on the quality of the TLC networks. In fact, new methods of operation make it essential to always guarantee maximum efficiency and flexibility.
For this reason, it is necessary to add to traditional maintenance practice new and more innovative strategies based on predictive actions. The analysis of the state of health of the equipment makes it possible not only to anticipate issues, but also to efficiently direct maintenance resources where the equipment require it.
The final result is the optimization of financial resources and the improvement of the overall efficiency index.
Efficient Preventive Maintenance processes guarantee the best functionality of the equipment, documenting the history of maintenance activities for performance analysis and the identification of improvements to be applied to the maintenance that has the goal of establishing the general principles for the “Collection” of Alarms/External Signals.

Telebit, based on the experience acquired with the main telephony service providers integrates an alarm detection system in its plants, including in addition, completion and integration in a software control platform for the status of the infrastructures for Trend Analysis and PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE purposes.

Telebit pays particular attention to the topic of energy efficiency, thanks to its twenty-year background in the field of rooms/shelter systems designed to accommodate mobile and fixed-line telephony with the drive to continue reducing energy consumption.

One of the most effective ways to achieve energy savings is the design and implementation of air conditioning systems that use innovative design techniques developed in-house by Telebit, including customization of software for the personalized control of air flows through PLCs and room re-planning.
